Competencies
- Manage a facility or premises
- Directly manage budgets or make decisions on how money is spent
- Delegated management responsibility or co-ordinate any health & safety function
- Give information to colleagues that may impact on their safety
Target Participants
Managers at all levels with responsibility for managing premises or are directly involved in facility management or other associated premises management activities
Attendance for this session will be mandatory for all managers that are identified through completion of the on-line core competency training, prior to being allowed to book onto this training.
Aim
The course aim is to ensure all managers who have delegated building management responsibilities are aware of their duties and the associated legal compliance requirements and key building issues
Key Learning Outcomes Knowledge and understanding of:-
- Roles and responsibilities of teams / individuals in relation to Premises Management
- Requirements of NCC’s Fire management system
- Requirements of NCC’s Asbestos Management Plan
- Requirements of NCC’s Legionella Management Programme
- Appropriate use and meaning of safety signage
- Statutory tests and maintenance requirements
- Inspection regimes
- Documentation and record keeping
- Managing contractors
Testing Method
- There is a Pre-learning E-Session that includes the required on-line multi choice quiz requiring 75% pass rate
